What is a Captain of Industry?
Captains of Industry (COI) are companies that offer products and services for decentralized and onsite wastewater treatment systems. What is SORA/COI?
SORA/COI is the annual conference that brings together SORA and the decentralized wastewater treatment industry to network, exchange information, and work toward sustainable decentralized approaches to wastewater treatment. Since 1999, SORA/COI has been providing a forum that focuses attention on current wastewater issues and increases opportunities for Captains (manufacturers) to present the latest technologies to the regulatory community.
Join us this year in San Diego, California, for the 14th Annual State Onsite Regulators Alliance and Captains of Industry (SORA/COI) Conference. Once again, we are partnering with the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) at their 76th Annual Educational Conference and Exhibition. The California Onsite Wastewater Association (COWA) is also joining us with their annual Educational Forum.
For one low registration fee, exhibitors will have the ability to cover two national and one state event simultaneously, allowing you to stretch dollars and present products to three audiences at one time. This four-day event has it all: educational sessions, displays, networking and exhibiting opportunities for wastewater-related businesses. A special section of the exhibit hall has been dubbed "Wastewater Alley," where the wastewater industry will enjoy a focused mini-exhibit area within the larger exhibit hall. By exhibiting in Wastewater Alley (exhibitor floor plan), vendors are entitled to attend the Wednesday and Friday SORA/COI sessions, as well as additional networking events with onsite regulators and other professionals from across the nation courtesy of SORA, NEHA, and COWA.
Why should I attend the 2012 Joint Conference?
Because you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet regulatory officials from across the country.
- Engage in forums and networking sessions with industry representatives and regulatory officials from the state, regional and federal level.
- Keep up-to-date with current research studies and field evaluations of decentralized technologies and approaches to wastewater treatment.
SORA, NEHA, and COWA are aware of the impact the economy has had on the private sector. Through our partnership, additional opportunities are available for industry representatives to reach wastewater regulators. Regulators look forward to interaction with industry representatives to stay current on technologies and be effective in their roles as state regulators. Opportunities to display products, and to discuss regulations and product approval procedures are vital to industry's success within the states. Networking with and exposure to industry representatives remains a central conference objective for regulators.
